The UNESCO Collection of Traditional Music of the World is a collection of over 125 albums of traditional music from around the world that were released on a variety of labels between 1961 and 2003. In 1961, ethnomusicologist Alain Daniélou and the International Institute for Comparative Music Studies and Documentation collaborated to begin the collection (created by UNESCO in 1949).
