A gorgeous Christmas record. Some excellent, haunting obscure selections : "I Wonder as I Wander", "Mary's Wandering", and especially "The Carol of the Birds". The instrumentation was arranged by Peter Schickele, better known as P.D.Q. Bach, and is very understated and very much in a traditional, almost medieval, vein.
