This album is the first and almost the only one by Boris Vian, of which we listen mainly to compilations and unpublished releases published posthumously. It brings together 10 titles that are legendary today because they represent everything that fascinates about Vian; puns, humor, revolt, assertive anti-militarism (“The Deserter”, of course, but in a much more corrosive tone, “Les Joyeux Bouchers”!), a keen sense of parody and satire, and above all ... a lot of poetry. These 10 essential pieces that he recorded after his visit to the Théâtre des Trois Baudets are all little gems composed by Jimmy Walter or Alain Goraguer.
